The American Civil War was the bloodiest and largest amount of casualties that Americans have ever faced on their own soil. Let's not lose the stories of those brave and great men that fought for what they believed in!

UDC Massing of the Flags
In June I was in Virginia for 3 weeks. I'm a member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy so I attended the annul Massing of the Flags in Richmond. Thought I would share some picture.
Every state flag was carried down the isle that succeeded from the Union plus other states flags that didn't but had a UDC chapter.
I was born and raised in Kansas which didn't succeed but did have a UDC chapter, that's where I joined but now I'm living in Alabama.

Here I am holding up the Alabama Flag.
